Magical Taruruuto-Kun 2: Mahou Daibouken is the sequel to Magical Taruruuto-Kun: Fantastic World!!. It features two new playable characters; Honmaru and Mimora.
Allowing the player to deplete all his/her lives (shared agmonst the three playable characters) will show the Game Over screen, which depicts Taruruuto, Honmaru, and Mimora with depressed expressions; while the text "GAME OVER" appears on the center of a dialogue box. The HUD is also present, where it shows the character last played as, and the final score.
Since the game uses a save feature (a common feature in late NES-era Bandai titles), continuing is done through restoring a save, and pressing any button on the Game Over screen will return the player to the title screen.
