🕹️ More about the game
INTERNATIONAL KARATE C64 TAPE
International Karate, also known as World Karate Championship, is a karate game released in 1985 by System 3 for ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC and Atari 8-bit computers. It later appeared for Atari ST and Amiga, with an MS-DOS conversion using four-colour CGA graphics.
This is a straightforward side-view fighting game. Depending on how a player strikes the opponent, half a point or a full point is awarded. Bouts take place at famous locations around the world.
The game was programmed by Archer Maclean, with music by Rob Hubbard. Hubbard's score was performed live by a full symphony orchestra at the third Symphonic Game Music Concert in Germany in 2005.
